After a 12-year hiatus, California punk band Hunx and His Punx—featuring Seth Bogart, Shannon Shaw, and Erin Emslie—return with Walk Out On This World, a fierce and emotional album shaped by profound loss and resilience. Known for their glam-punk flair and queercore roots, the band reunited in 2019, but work on the new record was halted by the tragic death of Shannon’s fiancé and later by the devastating Eaton Fires. Finding strength in each other and their shared grief, they crafted songs like “Rainy Day in LA” that confront pain with style and defiance. The result is a raw, cathartic album that dances through disaster with heart, grit, and glitter.
