Expected release date: 31st October 2025 (as this item is being imported, it may arrive a week later than it's release date.)
When The 2000s Clashed: Machine Music For A New Millennium charts the short-circuiting energy that lit up early-2000s clubland, as synths got sleazier, beats got cheaper, and eyeliner ran riot. This 3LP boxset assembles the strange brew that came to be known as electroclash, curating a scene where Peaches rubbed against Tok Tok vs. Soffy O, Legowelt shared floorspace with Miss Kittin, and 'Do I Look Like A Slut?' was less a question than a rallying cry. Compiled by Jonny Slut, founder of London's infamous Nag Nag Nag, it links DIY electronics, bratty pop, and glam-indebted punk with the artists it inspired, from Simian Mobile Disco to Justice, as well as rewinding further to draw the line back to Kraftwerk, Fad Gadget and New Order.
