A real gem from the gay archives, Love Is A Drag is a once shocking 1962 LP of love songs by men, for men. This album features hits that were originally intended to be sung by women, but performed here by Gene Howard and a cast of other jazz musicians. Interestingly, Howard is never credited on the album, possibly an artefact of the social and cultural times. Either way, this one was waaaay ahead of it’s time (and is even pressed on a gold vinyl!)
