Double Infinity is a bold, sonically expansive album that marks a significant evolution for Big Thief. Recorded over three winter weeks at Manhattan’s legendary Power Station, the project brought together a vibrant ensemble—including Laraaji, June McDoom, Hannah Cohen, Joshua Crumbly, and others—who tracked live, improvising and collaborating in real time. The sessions, led by core members Adrianne, Buck, and James, were deeply immersive, with contributions ranging from zither drones and tape loops to rich vocal harmonies and layered percussion. Produced, engineered, and mixed by longtime collaborator Dom Monks, the album explores the tension between inner and outer worlds, navigating the emotional space between memory, longing, and presence.
